Stressed?  May I suggest…

Its been a busy week. (Month? Year?)  And it’s only Tuesday! You’re a bit overwhelmed. Work. Kids. Errands. Appointments. Bills. Obligations. Craziness.

May I suggest a time out? (For you…not the kids.) Before you quit reading – who has time for a time out? – hear me out. 

I’m not suggesting that you throw up your hands, run away and never come back. I am asking that you take 10-15 minutes for you. Find a relaxing spot.  Sit down (or lie down) and breathe.  Listen. Gaze at something. 

One of my favorite ways to do this is to go outside, lie down, and watch clouds. If there’s a tree in sight, even better! Listen to the wind, or the birds, or the neighbors dog.

Now, will this help your overwhelm? Yes, it will. Take that time out. Remember the breathing. After your 15 minutes are up, get back to your tasks with renewed energy and focus.
